REMINDER – The OVTC meeting on Tuesday,
February 26 will be at the Stebro Exhaust Plant beginning at 7 p.m.
NOTE – This is a special event meeting. Stebro is located
at: Stebro PSD LTD.

For those of you coming from the north and east take Bank Street
(Highway 31) south to Mitch Owens Drive, turn right and go to the
first lights – Old Prescott Road, turn left and proceed 0.7KM
to Mckeown Drive. The Stebro plant is a large blue building on your
right. For those of you who live in the west go to Manotick and
follow Mitch Owens Drive from the center of the village to Old Prescott
Road, turn right and proceed the 0.7KM. If any of you end up at
the lights at the corner of Old Prescott Road and The Parkway you
have gone too far – turn around and go back to the first left…….
This meeting is starting earlier than usual – please be there
by 6:50 p.m. We will meet in the front door reception area for a
tour at 7 p.m.
As you will remember, we had Brent Fortin from Stebro speak briefly
at our November meeting. This presentation will have more detail
and we will see how they build the exhaust systems. The MG Club
held their January meeting at the plant and the Jaguar Club will
be there in March. |

coming Tuesday, March 25 is the monthly meeting of the Ottawa
Valley Triumph Club. This month we will be at the club house location
-
Manordale Community Center, at the corner of Knoxdale and Carola Roads.
The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m.
With the driving season only weeks away (at least one can hope and
pray)
Brian will speak on ways to give your car its greatest ability in
both
the "Go and Whoa" departments, namely hydraulic systems
and performance
air filters plus some other bits and pieces. Don has also made
arrangements for us to meet Prem from Radshaw British Autocare.

Hello
Everyone,
There are two excellent car shows taking place in our area this coming
Sunday, May 25
The annual Special Interest and Motorcycle Show is being held in the
town park of Oxford Mills, Ontario beginning at 10 am. This show is
a fund raiser for the Anglican Parish of Oxford. For lunch, hamburgs
and hotdogs can be bought fresh from the BBQ and the ladies of the
church always have the most delicious pies and desserts for sale.
We have enjoyed this show for many years. On a hot day the tall maples
provide plenty of shade for viewing the many interesting cars and
motorcycles and meeting with old friends.
An All British Car Show is being held in St. Thomas Park in Hudson,
Quebec from 9 am to 4 pm. This show is held in Hudson every other

If the weather cooperates and it looks like it may, Brian and I plan
to go to the Hudson show as it is one show we have never had the opportunity
to attend. We have heard that it is a well organized show in a lovely
park on the banks of the Ottawa River.

Hello
Everyone,
Next Tuesday, May 27 is the OVTC monthly meeting. This meeting will
begin at 7 p.m. to allow us to meet in the clubhouse to discuss
important matters and then take advantage of a long beautiful evening
and go on a drive together.
Don Leblanc has been organizing a drive to Gray Rocks, in Mont Tremblant
for the weekend Saturday, June 6 – Sunday, June 7. He would
like to know how many would like to be a part of this drive. If
you would like to go on the drive please respond to Don directly
by hitting the reply button of this e-mail. Respond quickly so that
reservations can be made. Last year a group of TR owners took a
weekend drive to Prince Edward County and a good time was had by
all………….

Canadian
Tire Show
Hi Folks,Just a reminder that this Saturday we are holding the
11th annual
Charity Car show at the Canadian Tire on Merivale Rd. in Nepean.
The
show is from 11:00 am until 4:00pm. The lot will be open from 9am.
The CTC museum will be on site as will the Nascar demo trailer and
car. There will be 50/50 and many other contests with 100's of prizes.

This
coming Saturday, June 14th the OVTC has been invited to show their
cars to the residents of Robertson House Retirement Residence, 1 Mill
Hill Road in Bell’s Corners. They have asked us to be there
for 10:30 a.m. The weather looks as if it will cooperate in fine style
this time and so it is thought that after a reasonable amount of time
spent with the residents we could leave for a drive together with
a stop for a Pub Grub lunch. Please hit the reply button to let Don
know you intend to join in the fun. Hope to see everyone there.
