Winter Bash - 26 January
Many thanks to Dean and Janet Hummel for hosting this year's pot-luck winter bash. Everyone had a great time ... good friends, food, and cheer. Great start to the OVTC New Year.
Dart Tournament, 10 February
Good turnout for the tournament again this year. Good fun, good competition, and good time had by all. Congratulations to this year's winners ... Bill and Andrea MacTavish of the MG club. That last picture is Trish Admas from the MG club presenting the trophy for the 1st annual British Car Clubs Trivia Challenge to Guy Valentine and Michael Solonynko of the Triumph club. Phil Totten and Marie Lavitt who were also on the winning team were not present to accept the award. Thanks to David B. for providing the pictures.
Club Meeting, 30 April
Good turn out of cars for the first driving meeting of the year, and a chance to check out the results of winter projects.
Wedge Adventure, 7-9 June
Bob Thomas and David Huddleson travelled to southern Vermont for a 3-day wedge gathering. In total, there were 12 cars, including four coupes and one TR7.
Club Meeting, 25 June
Great night for a meeting. Congratulations to Martin B., the 2018 inductee into the Order of the British Car Enthusiasts. Mike S. is displaying his new shirt with the OVTC 30th Anniversary logo.
Club Drive to Lanark, 30 June
Weather looked a bit iffy in the morning, but turned out to be a great day for a drive. Thanks to Mike S. for organizing ... Phil and Marie, Gary, Tony, Bruce and Robbie, Don, and Mike and Marjorie had a great time ... with time for a little show and tell.
Club Drive to Westport, 7 July
Another great day for a drive ... so nice in fact that there was apparently little time for photography. However, there was time for some team oil sniffing!
All British Car Day (ABCD), 20 July
A very sunny and warm day for ABCD, with the usual good turn out of cars. Thanks to Paul M, John N, and Tony M for sharing these pictures. This year a group of young students took a special interest in the cars, and produced a video of their interviews with several owners. They are part of a drama program in Kanata run by British TV director and producer Roger Damon Price. Long involved in television production in the UK and Canada, Roger is now retired and has a production company called "You Can't Do That Productions".
Club Meeting, 23 July
Beautiful weather and good turn out of cars and members. Even had an in-the-parking-lot tech session on Paul W's TR6.
30th Anniversary Drive and BBQ - 11 August
Absolutely great day to celebrate the club's 30th Anniversary. Thanks to Dave and Elaine for planning and leading the drive, Chuck for picking up food and arranging the cake, Chef Jeff for a great meal on a Spit (what else would a Triumph Club want?), and Mike and Marjorie for hosting the BBQ. We have a great club and many good friends with a common passion. Thanks also to Linda, Don, Bob, and Paul M for their contributions to our pictures.
Loughlin's Cruise Night, Hallville - 15 August
A great evening for a drive to a new cruise night at Loughlin's Country Store in Hallville. Mike and Marjorie G. and Mike S. represented the club. Nice group of owners of a wide variety of cars.
Brits on the Lake, Port Perry - 18 August
Barry W. represented OVTC at this event. Many thanks to Barry for sharing his pictures.
British Invasion, Hazeldean, 17 September
Despite less-than-stellar weather, there was a reasonable turnout - about 35 cars for the show and 25 people for dinner at The Old Mill at Ashton. Thanks to Alan Graves for the pictures.
Ottawa MG Club British Car Clubs Trivial Challenge - 24 November
Congratulations to Triumph Team 2, who repeated as champions again this year - Guy, Mike and Lisa, and Marie. Many thanks to all members of the MG club for making this a fun afternoon.
OVTC Christmas Party - 10 December
Very well attended, fun evening for this year's Christmas Party. Great start to the Holiday season.
