Cruise Nights, One-Time Events, Club Contacts for 2023

These lists of Local Cruise Nights, One-Time Events, and Contacts for Local Car Clubs are compiled and shared by the Highway 43 Car Club. New lists will be uploaded as they become available. Many thanks to Wendy Hall and Micheline Lane​ for the work they do pulling these lists together.

OVTC Drives Every Sunday 

Starting Sunday, 11 May, Mike S. will be leading drives around Eastern Ontario to explore sites and back roads. See flyer for more information. Drives start at 11:00 and leave from the Independent Grocer in Stittsville. Everyone is welcome.

JANUARY

  • ​28 January: Regular OVTC Meeting - NO MEETING THIS MONTH. Meetings are held at the Manordale Community Centre (68 Knoxdale Road, Ottawa, ON K2G 1A4), which is located at the corner of Knoxdale and Carola in the west end of Ottawa. Meeting starts at 7:00 pm.

FEBRUARY

  • 10 February: Drive Your Triumph Day - Since this falls in the middle of winter, take a photo of your car in the garage. Rye Livingston asks you to email a high-resolution photo to [email protected], accompanied with some basic details: owner’s name, year and model of car, and place photo was taken (city, province, country). The photos will be published in the Triumph Travelers Sports Car Club club newsletter and website, the Vintage Triumph Registry newsletter, and on the Drive Your Triumph Day Facebook page.
  • 15 February: OVTC Dart Tournament - Our tournament will be held at the Barrhaven Legion, 3500 Fallowfield Road, Nepean, ON at 1:30 - 5:00 pm. Darts will start at 1:30, but we will open at 1:00 for the folks to arrive, settle, and socialize.​
  • ​25 February: Regular OVTC Meeting - ​First regular meeting of the year. A time to discuss and plan club activities for the coming driving season. Meetings are held at the Manordale Community Centre (68 Knoxdale Road, Ottawa, ON K2G 1A4), which is located at the corner of Knoxdale and Carola in the west end of Ottawa. Meeting starts at 7:00 pm.

MARCH

  • ​25 March: Regular OVTC Meeting - NO MEETING AS MEETING ROOM NOT AVAILABLE. First regular meeting of the year. A time to discuss and plan club activities for the coming driving season. Meetings are held at the Manordale Community Centre (68 Knoxdale Road, Ottawa, ON K2G 1A4), which is located at the corner of Knoxdale and Carola in the west end of Ottawa. Meeting starts at 7:00 pm.

APRIL

  • 20 April: Ancaster British Car Show and Fleamarket​- see website for details.
  • ​​​22 April: Regular OVTC Meeting - Meetings are held at the Manordale Community Centre (68 Knoxdale Road, Ottawa, ON K2G 1A4), which is located at the corner of Knoxdale and Carola in the west end of Ottawa. Meeting starts at 7:00 pm.

MAY

  • 11 May: First of the weekly Sunday drives around Eastern Ontario - Drives start at 11:00 and leave from the Independent Grocer in Stittsville. Everyone is welcome.​
  • TBD: Hudson British Car Show - Show is back again this year from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m, 97 Rue McNaughten, Hudson, QC J0P 1H0. See website for more information.

  • 22 July: Regular OVTC Meeting - Meetings are held at the Manordale Community Centre (68 Knoxdale Road, Ottawa, ON K2G 1A4), which is located at the corner of Knoxdale and Carola in the west end of Ottawa. Meeting starts at 7:00 pm.

AUGUST

  • TBD: Glengarry Highland Games - The British antique car display will be held on Friday at the Games. Those displaying their cars in the show receive free admission to the Games on Friday. 
  • TBD: Boot N' Bonnet British Car Day - Held in Ken Garrett Memorial Park, which is located just south of Inverary at 4010 Perth Road (Division Street if coming from Kingston or CR 10 if coming from the north). Entry fee is $15 per vehicle which includes a dash plaque and chances at prizes. Show runs from 10 am to 3 pm with prizes being awarded shortly after 3 pm. 
  • 26 August: Regular OVTC Meeting - Meetings are held at the Manordale Community Centre (68 Knoxdale Road, Ottawa, ON K2G 1A4), which is located at the corner of Knoxdale and Carola in the west end of Ottawa. Meeting starts at 7:00 pm.

SEPTEMBER
