Preserving and Enjoying Triumphs
The Ottawa Valley Triumph Club (OVTC) is dedicated to the preservation and pure enjoyment of owning and driving Triumph automobiles. Formed in the spring of 1989, we now have a membership of about 65 active members and celebrated our 30th Anniversary in 2019. The current line-up of cars in the club includes most of the popular "TR" series (TR3, 4, 250, 6, 7, and 8), as well as Spitfire, GT6, Stag, and Herald. You do not need to own a Triumph to become a member. The club tries to offer something for everyone. Best of all, however, is the spirit of friendship and camaraderie shared between enthusiasts of the Triumph marquee. All our events are open to non-members. Be sure to check out our news section and calendar of events, pick an activity, and come join us — we're looking forward to meeting you.
Our website provides access to Triumph resources, photos of club events, and a complete archive of our newsletter Overdrive. Members can submit articles for the website, photos for the photo archive, and suggest OVTC activities and events online. The OVTC holds meetings, fun runs and tours, technical seminars, help and guidance from members, and various social events throughout the year. The club has hosted the Canadian Classic in collaboration with the Toronto Triumph Club three times. The Classic is held for Triumph cars over three days and features a rally, a concours d'elegance, visits to local points of interest, and an awards banquet. In August 1991, we hosted the Sixth Canadian Triumph Classic. The club again hosted the Classic in August 1996 and most recently in July 2011. All three events were well attended by Triumph owners from across eastern Canada and the eastern United States. In addition, we are active in the organization of the All British Car Day, and participate as a club in this event that is held each July in Ottawa. OVTC also has a Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/OttawaValleyTriumphClub.
Our strength is in our membership. We invite you to join our club to experience the fun and excitement of belonging to the Ottawa Valley Triumph Club. If you have any questions or would like more information, please contact our Treasurer.
The OVTC is a member of the British Car Council.
